BIG GAME FISHING - INFO
The past few years a good number of
BLUE MARLIN, WHITE MARLIN,
SWORDFISH, DOURADO and BLUEFIN-, BIGEYE-, YELLOWFIN TUNA FISH and
ALBACORE as well as ATLANTIC BONITOS have been caught in
algarvian waters. And of course the usual BLUE- and MAKO SHARK.
The main activity is to take you out for SHARK FISHING or
BOTTOM FISHING.
Our main fishing area is about 10 to 15 nautical miles southeast of Portimão. We
sail for about 1 to 1.5 hours in south-easterly direction to the usual shark
fishing grounds.
On a shark fishing trip you will be in company of max. 8 other anglers.
Our main fishing area for bottom fishing is about 6/8 to 10 nautical miles west,
southwest or southeast of Portimão. We sail for about 30min to 50min to the
usual bottom fishing grounds.
Our main fishing area for Marlin etc. is about 25 to 45 nautical miles southeast of Portimão.
To fish for blue or white marlin you need to charter the boat, a
marlin/swordfish/tuna trip cannot be booked individually. The max. number of
anglers for marlin fishing is restricted to 6 fishermen.
